Il 25 novembre, in occasione della Giornata internazionale contro la violenza sulle donne, ai Gigli è stata realizzata un’iniziativa di sensibilizzazione, che si era posta come obiettivo quello di promuovere un messaggio chiaro: non servono nuovi titoli di cronaca, ma il coraggio di cambiare linguaggio, comportamenti e atteggiamenti quotidiani. Recognizing violence, knowing how to listen, and not turning away is a collective responsibility. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with D.i.Re – Donne in Rete, the campaign’s official partner, together with the anti-violence centers La Nara and Artemisia, active in the area in supporting women.

In I Gigli no food is wasted! The Shopping Centre, in collaboration with Food Bank, tackles food waste with a programme to recover surplus food from bars, restaurants and the hypermarket. A virtuous circle through which food is immediately redistributed to partner facilities providing food to the least fortunate while ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety.

Every year on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, the collaboration with the Popular Brotherhood of San Donnino continues.

I rely on you
In collaboration with the National School of Guide Dogs in Scandicci, during the event “Io mi afFido” (I rely on you), I Gigli helped to look for foster families to take care, for one year, of puppies which will be trained to become guide dogs. A gesture of love that we wanted to reward with a Gift Card. Furthermore I Gigli organised events to raise awareness on this topic which were covered even by national channels.
